Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) - Lloyd Institute

Remodel and fitout of existing space in the Lloyd Institute for the Global Brain Health Institute, a joint venture between TCD and the University of California, San Francisco. GBHI was founded in 2015 by a generous gift from The Atlantic Philanthropies. The result is an extraordinary piece of architecture and workmanship with linked, timber-lined rooms and spaces designed to encourage and facilitate collaboration and innovation.

The central space features and interactive ceiling with a unique lighting design which responds to the neural behaviour of the participants.

The project was delivered on programme and within the approved €2.6 million budget.

GBHI strives to improve brain health for populations across the world, reaching into local communities and across its global network. GBHI brings together a powerful mix of disciplines, professions, backgrounds, skills, perspectives, and approaches to develop new science-based solutions. GBHI focuses on working compassionately with people in vulnerable and under-served populations to improve outcomes and promote dignity for all people.
