Over the weekend of the 19th & 20th of October, Campus was filled with architecture enthusiasts for the Open House Dublin – Festival of Architecture.

With fully booked tours of the Rubrics, Loos Bar, the Eavan Boland Library, and the Provost’s House taking place on the main campus, Monica Janson from Capital Projects popped around the corner and led two booked out tours of 36 Fenian Street. Monica led the project to conserve and refurbish this 18th century protected building in 2015, and it has since housed the Trinity Centre for Literary and Cultural Translation.

Monica, along with Katherine Kiersey from Capital Projects and Eithne Bowen, manager from the centre, took visitors on a tour of the ground and first floor of the building.

This event proved even more popular with extra people turning up – eager to get a peek inside this beautifully restored Georgian building.

Monica was also on hand to help with the tours of the Rubrics, led by Seamus McMorris, from Pascal and Watson Architects. The fact that all three tours were fully booked highlights the ongoing enthusiasm for this building and the conservation and refurbishment project completed in 2023.
