Maison de l'Architecture de Champagne-Ardenne is a nonprofit association with a mission to disseminate and transmit architectural culture throughout Champagne – Ardenne.

As part of their study tour to Ireland, they reached out to McCulloughMulvin Architects for interesting buildings to visit and as the 6th project completed by the firm on our historical campus, they decided to bring the group to Printing House Square.

The group comprised of approx. 25 members of the MACA, headed up by Giovanni Pace, the organisations president, along with their guide Joris Fromet.

Corán O’Connor from McCulloughMulvin talked the group through the design process and the architectural features of the building. The group praised the space and really liked “the way the new building is inserted into the existing fabric, with a creative, smart, and delicate approach”. They felt the creation of a new square generates a sense of place that sits harmoniously with its historical surrounding.

As a bonus, the group got to view a squash tournament when we visited the Squash courts!

Thanks to Emmet Vincent in the disAbility Hub, Catriona Curran in the Medical Centre and Eamon Cusack and Sorcha Stapleton from Sports for allowing us into spaces.
