The Martin Naughton E3 Learning Foundry is a state of the art 7,256 square metre facility which will deliver new teaching facilities and an innovative interactive learning space for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Please see below a timelapse video footage that captures the demolitions, enabling works and construction of the Martin Naughton E3 Learning Foundry at the east end of campus.
Work on site began in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2024.
Site clearance included the removal of the PC Huts, the demolition of the Biochemistry building, Roberts Lab, Anatomy annexe and parts of Zoology.
These challenging works have involved dealing with the proximity of the site to the Lincoln Place Gate entrance to College, works to historical buildings, unexpected services and finds in the ground, not to mention Covid 19, inflation and resource shortages.
