Lorraine Leeson
Associate Vice Provost for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Lorraine oversees and promotes the College’s equality policies and leads Trinity’s Athena Swan Gender Action Plan. She reports to the Vice-Provost, is a member of Trinity’s Executive Officer’s Group and Chairs the University Athena Swan Committee. She works on EDI with national and international partners through LERU, COIMBRA, as well as through the national VPEDI and Athena Swan committees.
Siobán O’Brien Green
Head of EDI
Siobán is responsible for leading and coordinating Trinity’s EDI efforts, as well as the leadership and development the EDI Office team. She also provides strategic advice and guidance on equality and diversity matters to senior leaders in the University.
Joel McKeever
Acting Equality Officer
Joel is Acting Equality Officer, and works to promote equality and non-discrimination for Trinity staff, students and the wider Trinity community, in all areas of university life and with particular regard to the protected grounds in equality legislation.
Susan Cantwell
Executive officer
Susan provides a full range of administrative support for the EDI Office and manages web content.
Samantha Williams
EDI Data Analyst and Athena Swan Officer
Sam collaborates closely with colleagues across TCD in Schools and Professional Units to support and guide areas in engaging with and implementing Athena Swan locally. She also supports institutional Athena Swan monitoring and conducts data collection and analysis that creates a strong evidence-base for our actions.
Bernadette Ferguson
Irish Sign Language/English interpreter
Bernadette works as part of a Trinity College in-house Irish Sign Language/English interpreting team. The ISL interpreters work closely with the EDI team and provide a service for members of staff and events across campus.
Gemma Shannon
Assistant Irish Sign Language/English interpreter
Gemma is a Trinity graduate and one of two new in-house Irish Sign Language/ English interpreters providing ISL/English interpretation for Trinity College Dublin Staff. They are working towards enhancing opportunities and engagement between Deaf and hearing members of the Trinity Community.
Trinity Inclusive Curriculum Project
Based in the EDI Office, the Trinity Inclusive Curriculum Project (Trinity-INC) commenced in October 2020, with the mandate to embed the principles of diversity, equality and inclusion across all curricula at Trinity College Dublin.
Dr Edurne Garcia Iriarte
Academic Project Director
Edurne leads the project, and acts as the Academic Director. Edurne is Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work and Social Policy.
Seán Adderley
Acting Project Manager
Seán is responsible for the everyday management and delivery of the Trinity-INC Project, ensuring its strategic objectives are met across the Project goals and within reporting and financial parameters.
Jane Eghaghe
Student Partner Liaison Officer
Jane coordinates the Student Partner Programme of the Trinity-INC project, working with students from across Trinity to raise awareness of experiences of inclusion and exclusion within curricula, and to develop an evidence-base to inform the overall Trinity-INC project activities.
