About the EDI Office

All staff, students and visitors have a role to play in making Trinity an inclusive and egalitarian community.

Trinity's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Unit was established in 2019 to drive Trinity's fundamental commitment to leading a boldly equitable community. We oversee Trinity's EDI strategies and policies, provide leadership and insight for all related activities at a local, institutional, and sectoral level which includes the Athena Swan Charter, Action Plans for Gender and for Race Equality, and supporting the Trinity Inclusive Curriculum project.

The Unit creates robust, expert-led, and people focused EDI strategy which brings together best practice across all the protected ground recognised in law to enable a meaningfully inclusive Trinity experience on an ongoing basis. Our focus is honest, brave, and real inclusion. The team is composed of staff with a range of multidisciplinary experience across higher education and beyond who work dynamically across the university to implement equality goals. You can learn more about our team here.

The EDI Unit builds on the work of previous equality focused initiatives detailed in our Equality History here.
