Trinity hosted the 2024 Athena Swan Ireland Awards ceremony in the Trinity Science Gallery space on 19th November 2024, welcoming colleagues from across many institutions to celebrate their hard work and success in the recent award cycle.

Trinity now holds 14 Bronze and 4 Silver school awards, 1 Bronze professional unit award (the first in Ireland) and an Institutional Silver award. Holding an Athena Swan award is a criterion required by the Higher Education Authority, many Irish research funders and aligns with the European Commission eligibility requirements for accessing Horizon Europe research funding.

This was a fantastic opportunity to learn from the expertise of dedicated colleagues and recognise the progress that has been made as we approach 10 years of Athena Swan in Ireland. Congratulations to all.
