New Voices: The An Post Writing Prize 2023

Congratulations to Valeriia Shmyrova (Junior Fresh in English Studies) on winning New Voices: The An Post Writing Prize. The new writing competition was introduced as part of An Post’s extended sponsorship of the Irish Book Awards until 2025. Irish based Ukrainian writers aged 16+ were invited to compose a new and original short story, essay, or poem, in either English or Ukrainian, describing their experiences of flight and exile in no more than 1,000 words.
