Successful students receive a €5,000 scholarship per annum for the remainder of their degree in the School of Engineering, for up to four years of study.

Trinity College Dublin School of Engineering is excited and grateful to announce that applications are now open for the Eric and Barbara Kinsella Scholarships. In 2014, Eric & Barbara Kinsella established these scholarships to support talented engineering students to reach their full potential.

The scholarships are available for all second-year students who are enrolled in the Engineering (BAI/MAI) or Engineering with Management (BSc(Ing)/MAI) programmes and who have successfully completed their first year of study with a minimum of a second-class honours in their first-year exams. The successful scholarship recipients will receive a €5,000 award per annum for the remaining years of their degree programme in the School of Engineering, up to four years of study.

All eligible students are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this incredible opportunity and apply before the closing date of 5pm on Friday, 13 October 2023. Details on how to apply for the Eric and Barbara Kinsella Scholarships are included in this brochure.

Professor Alan O’Connor, Head of School of Engineering Trinity College Dublin, said:

“Since the scholarships were established, 36 students have received this award, and the goal is to have a minimum of 20 scholarships available in the School at any given time. I’d encourage all our eligible students to consider this opportunity and apply before the deadline. I wish you all the very best of luck with your application.”

Trinity College Dublin School of Engineering is proud and grateful to offer this scholarship programme, and the college’s commitment to supporting talented students in their academic pursuits is reflected in the success of the programme so far. With applications now open, students have the chance to further their education and achieve their dreams of a successful career in engineering.
