We are hiring Postdoctoral Research Fellow and PhD positions at Trinity College Dublin as part of the TWILIGHTS project. Funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and the Sustainability Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), this project focuses on innovating optical networks to support future digital systems like Smart Cities and Virtual/Augmented Reality. The project will create a digital twin of the optical network, providing a safe testing environment to develop and test new solutions and facilitate rapid network changes without disruption. Positions involve developing Digital Twins for optical networks, utilizing AI-driven control planes, with tasks including developing network probing algorithms and conducting adaptive ML and critical component analysis.
