Embodying Untranslatable Words: Towards an Intercultural Aesthetic- Dr Erika Piazzoli
This master class builds on a study called Lacunae: Embodying the Untranslatable, a research project that investigated the aesthetic potential of untranslatable words (Piazzoli, Corderi Novoa & Hogan, 2024). The aim is not to sensationalise or exaggerate the significance of untranslatable words, but rather to engage in a nuanced inquiry of their meaning through embodied work. The ultimate goal is to experience, reflect and allow the inherent richness of these words to contribute to a deeper understanding of intercultural awareness.
