Trinity Excellence in Teaching Awards

We were thrilled with the news that our colleague Aibhín Bray was an Early Career Trinity Excellence in Teaching Award.  She is one of five overall winners of the award across College. The award speaks to the outstanding contribution that Aibhín makes to teaching and learning in the University and to the high Standard that she sets in this respect.  See this video for more on her inclusive teaching approach.

Trinity Excellence in Research Supervision Awards

Our colleagues Joanne Banks and Keith Johnston were nominated for the Trinity Awards for Excellence in Research Supervision and were the School winners of this award in 2023/24. Joanne was the School winner in the early career category and while Keith was the School winner in the established supervisor category.

Postgraduate Teaching Awards 2023-24

Trinity’s Teaching Awards for Postgraduate Students were established to formally recognise the substantial contribution that Trinity's postgraduate research students make to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning. We were delighted this year that Chelsea Whittaker and Nina Singh, both PhD students in the School of Education, were shortlisted for these prestigious Awards. As well as being shortlisted, Chelsea was received recognition as one of three runners-up for the overall award.

Trinity Research Doctorate Award

Following a strong competition for the School’s Trinity Research Doctorate Award (TRDA), TJ Mathuloe has been identified as the successful candidate. TJ has accepted the award and will commence his PhD research in September 2024, focusing on the pedagogical implications of AI-based personalized learning systems.

Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship

Nina Singh has been successful with an application to the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship.  Nina commenced her PhD Research in September 2023, with a focus on restorative practices in higher education institutions in Ireland.
