Irish primary school principals and the Covid-19 pandemic
The Children's School Lives (CSL) study is a seven-year national longitudinal study of primary school in the ROI - Dr Gavin Murphy and Prof. Dympna Devine of UCD
This study follows two age cohorts (Junior Infants and Second Class) of over 4,000 children across five years transitioning into and out of primary school, as well as their families, teachers, and school principals.
It is funded by the NCCA, the study provises a unique opportunity to inform practice from multiple perspectives across various school contexts nationally.
Dr Gavin Murphy is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin. Gavin is involved in multiple programmes, most especially the MEd in Educational Leadership and Policy and the Professional Master of Education.
Professor Dympna Devine is a professor in UCD School of Education and Vice Principal for Research, Innovation and Impact in UCD College of Social Sciences and Law.
