Doctoral Supervision

The School of Education is active in the area of doctoral supervision and currently has over 70 candidates at PhD and DEd levels engaging in research across a wide range of areas relating to education.

 

Research Activities

In addition, the School has two associated research centres, the Cultures, Academic Values and Education (CAVE) research centre, and the Centre for Research in Information Technology in Education (CRITE).

The School of Education also has six research groups: Arts Education Research Group (AERG), Inclusion in Education and Society (IES), Language Use and Multilingualism in Education Research Group (LUMIERE), Research in School and Education (RISE), Science and Society, and the Teacher Education and Development Research Group (TEDRG). These research centres and groups engage in externally funded research in a wide range of areas, and regularly hold seminars and events.
