Education
The SUMMIT team is training the next generation of climate-conscious professionals and researchers with deep multidisciplinary expertise related to mobility. In addition to the SUMMIT Ph.D. Programme, we are engaging Masters students and undergraduates in projects aligned with SUMMIT’s goals. As well as individual projects, our projects engage in multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional innovation projects intended to catalyse new thinking about sustainable mobility.
At the heart of SUMMIT is a unique multidisciplinary Ph.D. programme designed to nurture reciprocity and multidisciplinary through a number of concrete mechanisms. SUMMIT Ph.D. students are co-supervised by experts from two disciplines, in the context of a wider multi-disciplinary supervision team. Students undertake research and publish jointly with their peers and with members of their supervision teams.
In addition, SUMMIT researchers contribute to a wide range of existing courses as well as emerging E3-themed programmes such as the M.Sc. in Smart and Sustainable Cities.
