Professor Viet Pham, Assistant Professor in Trinity College Dublin’s School of Computer Science and Statistics, has been honoured with the IEEE Communications Society Best Young Researcher Award for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This prestigious award recognises his exceptional contributions to the field of wireless communications.

Prof. Pham has applied advanced mathematical tools, including convex optimization, game theory, and artificial intelligence, to enhance the development of 6G wireless systems. His recent research integrates multidisciplinary approaches to explore the complex interactions between AI and wireless technologies.

In accepting the award, Prof. Pham expressed his gratitude and commitment to advancing wireless AI research, aiming to benefit the broader research community and further bolster Trinity’s reputation for excellence.
