Michael Lynham, E3 Marketing Manager at Trinity College Dublin, was presented with the prestigious Sales & Marketing Leader Award Silver Medal 2024 at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ireland 72nd Annual Dinner. The event, held at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire, was attended by over 250 professionals from the transport, logistics, education, and supply chain sectors, along with key stakeholders from the Department of Transport.

The evening, celebrating excellence and professionalism within the industry, was marked by an address from James Lawless TD, Minister of State for the Department of Transport. Special guest speaker Dr Sean Sweeney, newly appointed Programme Director of MetroLink, shared insights on advancing transportation infrastructure in Ireland.

The awards also took place, recognising achievements across various industry. Michael Lynham’s recognition with the Sales & Marketing Leader Award Silver Medal was a highlight of the night, with the award presented by an expert panel of judges.

Michael’s nomination for this prestigious award came from his industry peers, highlighting the respect and recognition he has garnered within the field. The selection process was overseen by a distinguished panel of judges, including Heletjé van Staden, Assistant Professor of Management at UCD College of Business, Larry Banville, Programme Director at South East Technological University, Tim Gaston, former Director of Public Transport Services at the National Transport Authority, and Lorcan Sheehan, Founder of PerformanSC Supply Chain.

The panel’s collective experience reflects the high standards and credibility of the awards, underscoring Michael’s significant achievement.

Michael's success stems from a distinguished career in marketing and strategic leadership.  Currently serving as the E3 Marketing Manager at Trinity College Dublin, Michael plays a pivotal role in supporting marketing and recruitment efforts across the university’s Schools of Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science & Statistics. These schools are part of the ambitious E3 project, which focuses on advancing education and research in Engineering, Environment, and Emerging Technologies to tackle global challenges in sustainable technological development.  His work at Trinity also includes developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy, organising sustainability-related events, and promoting the university across multiple international markets. These initiatives have helped raise Trinity’s global profile and attracted a diverse range of students and partners. 

Michael brings over a decade of experience from his time at Trinity College Dublin and holds two master’s degrees—one in Marketing Management from Technological University Dublin and another in Digital Marketing from Dublin City University. He also earned a BA (Hons.) in Media Production & Management from the University of West London. His innovative approach has previously been recognised with a European Digital Communication Award, further underlining his impact and leadership in the field.

In addition to his recent accolade, Michael has a history of recognition, including being the previous recipient of the Platinum dotComm Award, issued by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). This prestigious award highlights his excellence in digital marketing and communication, adding to his already impressive career achievements.

Accepting the award, Michael expressed his gratitude:
