Web Style Guide
There are several approved webpage layouts (templates) and content types for use when migrating your microsite into T4.
Page Layouts
Each microsite consists of a homepage, landing pages, e.g. Course, Research, People in a School site and sub pages.
Content Types
Each webpage is designed using content types and layouts. The content types give structure and formatting for web editors to input text, images, videos into their webpages.
Website Content
Our website is a primary platform promoting Trinity to a worldwide external audience and internal audience, and only files relating to this should be stored on the web server. This includes information such as text, PDFs and imagery. Video is normally hosted on our YouTube channel, and audio is saved on a platform such as SoundCloud and linked from the relevant webpage.
Hosting for other types of data:
- Local access files and internal documents. This content should be migrated to SharePoint or the Intranet.
- Teaching materials. This content should be migrated to the VLE.
T4 Resources
You can find a T4 user manual and additional training guides in the Web Editors SharePoint Group folders. Once you have competed training in T4, you will gain access to this group.
Image guide
Source imagery for your microsite must be high quality, particularly if using images for large banners on landing pages.
