Montessori Room
“Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future.” Maria Montessori
Our Montessori room accommodates children of 3.5 years to 5 years old. The room is a spacious and bright which is equipped with all Montessori works and activities to support your child development. The room consists of its own toilet area.
At the Day Nursery, we implemented the Montessori Method of Maria Montessori in our curriculum, and we provide Montessori pre-school lessons with specialized Montessori materials to enable us to mentor your child on their path to independence, self-determination, motivation, and choice, thereby preparing them for primary school and the wider world.
Throughout their time in Montessori, we give your child manageable challenges so that their self-esteem is nurtured, and they are inspired to further their exploration through the joy of learning. We place a major emphasis on the unique needs of each child, giving them the flexibility to grow at their own pace.
The Montessori method of education offers your child a wider curriculum that includes life skills. We fill each day with a mixture of instruction, outdoor activities, and fun to give a comprehensive experience in the topics shown below.
Sensorial
By stimulating and enhancing the senses, these activities help your child develop their capacities for observation, perception, exploration, and communication. The strongest foundation for math and language in later years comes from sensory activities.
Literacy & Language
Your child will learn the alphabet and phonetics using resources like Sandpaper Letters and Classified Cards, which will give them a head start on the development needed for reading and writing.
Maths
Your child will learn mathematical ideas and gain a sensory understanding of numbers, quantities, and mathematical operations with the aid of Montessori mathematics.
Cultural Activities
The knowledge and comprehension of science, geography, history, music, and the arts are expanded through cultural activities. The natural world is investigated, and various civilizations are celebrated.
Creative Activities
cooking, singing, dancing, role-playing, and learning foreign languages as we have 20 different nations involved at the Day Nursery.
Curriculum Methods
In addition to the Maria Montessori method, we also implement an emergent curriculum as at the Day nursery, we acknowledge that each child is a unique individual with their own strengths, interests, abilities needs and experiences. For this reason, our qualified staff will implement a curriculum at room level and will adapt daily activities to best suit your child in the room.
