PhD student Rachel Heavey (based in Film and Engineering) shared a creative exploration of materials from the archives of the Irish Film Classification Office (IFCO) as an invited speaker to IFCO's Centenary Lecture Series during the Dublin International Film Festival. A recipient of an IRC Postgraduate Fellowship and an artist, Rachel's presentation explored the nuanced dynamics that operate between legislation and art creation in cinema - a process that has impacted the development of society throughout the 100 years of IFCO.
