The School of Creative Arts aims to be the primary centre for research and teaching in Film, Drama and Music in Ireland.

Each of the School's three Disciplines provides research-led teaching to an international student community at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It aims to establish the Samuel Beckett Creative Arts Centre to include a theatre, cinema and a venue for the performance of contemporary music, as well as fostering interdisciplinarity in all School activities. It seeks to develop cutting-edge research facilities and encourage practice-based research in all three disciplines.
Comprising three disciplines - Music, Drama and Film - the School of Creative Arts enjoys an international reputation for its research activities and achievements. The School's research outputs are consistent with the highest research activities internationally.
