Debating Science Issues
Debating Science Issues (DSI) is a dynamic debating competition which invites young people to engage in debate on the cultural, societal and ethical implications of advances in biomedical science.
If you would like to be involved in the Leinster debate on Nanotechnology please contact niml@tcd.ie
DSI is open to students in the senior cycle of secondary school in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Participating schools have the opportunity to avail of a 3-hour interactive student workshop on biomedical science before the debating competition begins.
This year CRANN is working with St Columbas College, Domincan College, Jesus and Mary College and Palmerstown CS.
The competition kicked off on the 9th of December with Dominican College progressing to the second round after a debate on the topic "Nanotechnology has significantly contributed to our well-being and environmental sustainability."
