Polish

Overview

Overview

This course is offered subject to minimum registration numbers.

Polish is spoken by more than 40 million people worldwide as a 'mother tongue', and it is the second most widely spoken Slavic language in the world. It uses Latin alphabet, and so is a great gateway to other Slavic languages. The Polish community is also the second largest minority nationality in Ireland.

The Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies within the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies will run language and culture courses in Polish at the Beginners, Lower Intermediate, and Intermediate/Advanced levels.

  • Beginners: Tuesdays 7pm-9pm.
  • Lower Intermediate: Wednesdays 7pm-9pm.
