Overview
This ten-week course introduces the learners to Irish Sign Language (ISL) and delivers teaching to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Classes are taught by Fourth Year ISL teaching students. The aim is to bring participants up to A1 receptive skills and A1 productive skills, enabling them to engage in a basic conversation with Deaf people. This course also introduces selected parts of Deaf culture.
Date, Time and Place
Classes will run from 21st January 2025 on Tuesdays between 7pm-8:30pm. Teaching will take place in-person on campus at the Centre for Deaf Studies, Trinity Co5llege Dublin, the University of Dublin, First Floor, 7-9 South Leinster Street, Dublin 2.
Course Fees
€120 full rate.
This fee is non-refundable once the course has commenced.

Applications open in January 2025. You must be 18 years of age or older to enroll in the School of Linguistic, Speech, and Communications Sciences evening courses.
