Overview
This foundation course in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT) offers a comprehensive introduction to CBT principles for healthcare workers and psychology graduates who want to understand and use CBT principles in their day-to-day clinical roles. It provides a comprehensive grounding for clinicians with an interest in pursuing Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy clinical training and accreditation in the future.
The three-module extra-mural course is open to all healthcare professionals and psychology graduates. To receive the certificate of completion, learners are required to complete all three modules but they can also choose to complete any number of modules individually.
Modules:
- CBT Theory, The Collaborative Therapeutic Relationship, and Psychoeducation
- Behavioural Tasks, Agenda Setting, and Using Homework
- Achieving Behavioural Change, Working with Thoughts, and CBT Case Conceptualisation
Time, Date, and Place
Teaching occurs between November 2024 and May 2025, using a blend of online and classroom delivered lectures. Classroom learning commences as a three-day block between Wednesday 6th and Friday 8th November 2024.
Course Fees
€3,500. This course may also be taken in three separate modules, at a rate of €1,200 per module.
