What is your background? I grew up in Monument, Colorado. I studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA.
What did you like specifically about the course? The Energy Science curriculum provided multilateral learning that coalesced technical subjects with overarching frameworks from a variety of sectors, such as economics, political science, and resource management. The thesis component offered the intellectual freedom to choose from a variety of research projects and gain substantial knowledge. The professors, administration, and peer environment all encouraged individual development and supported the success of the Energy Science students.
What are you doing now? Currently, I am supporting the U.S. Department of Energy in project management of clean hydrogen infrastructure across the nation.

What is your background? Coming from a military background, I grew up in different cities within India. I completed my undergrad in Physical Sciences from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.
What did you like specifically about the course? The best thing about the programme is that its interdisciplinary aspect offers a well-rounded understanding of the energy sector. You get to learn about the fundamentals, economics and new advancements in the energy field.
What are you doing now? Currently I am working as a research assistant in Trinity. My research consists of incorporating solid state electrochromics into electronics to fabricate low energy consuming devices.

What is your background? I grew up in Mkushi, a small town in the Central province of Zambia and studied Mechanical Engineering at the Copperbelt University, in Zambia.
What did you like specifically about the course? I choose the MSc in Energy Science because I liked the programmes comprehensive approach to energy, covering generation, utilization, environmental impact, and decarbonization. Completing this program equips individuals to excel in various roles and support organizational success.
What are you doing now? In my current role at EirGrid, I am an Analyst in Future Power Markets, where I work on Wholesale Electricity Market design, policy analysis, and facilitating renewable energy integration.

What is your background? I was raised in Guiyang, China. I pursued a degree in Applied Physics at the Jilin University of Chemical Technology.
What did you like specifically about the course? The diverse curriculum and professors enriched my studies. Classmates from various global backgrounds enhanced our learning atmosphere. Our research project perfectly integrated theory with practice, enriching the entire course.
What are you doing now? I am currently a doctoral candidate at Keio University in Japan, specializing in Photo-Functional materials research.

Where did you grow up? Bath, in the South West of England. What university did you attend? I studied Physics at the University of Edinburgh.
What did you like specifically about the course? The wide range of topics - it gives you a great understanding of the industry as a whole. What are you doing now? Electricity trading for Noriker Power, Gloucester, which builds grid-scale lithium-ion batteries.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in a small city in the southwest of China. What university did you attend? I studied Chemistry in Lanzhou University in China. What did you like specifically about the course? Energy Science is an interdisciplinary project involving chemistry, physics, geology, engineering & economics. The students in the class all have different backgrounds, so we were able to share our ideas on an eco-future from multiple viewpoints and cultures.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Ballina, Co. Tipperary. What university did you attend and what did you study? I studied Physics in UCD. What did you like specifically about the course? I enjoyed the fact that other subjects besides physics were included in the course such as geology and chemistry. Covering a broad range of aspects about the different technologies and sciences associated with the energy sector has helped me to have a non-biased opinion for the future energy market.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Bangalore in India. What university did you attend? Mechanical Engineering at the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgavi. What did you like most about the Energy Science course? The course covered not just the hardcore science behind producing power, but also other aspects which affect it eg. resource management, waste management, efficiency/energy intensity of the process and the economics of renewable energy. What are you doing now? I am working in Trinity as a Research Assistant studying the synthesis of advanced bio-fuel additives from the acid catalysed alcoholysis of lignocellulosic biomass.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Mumbai in India. What university did you attend? I studied Electronic Engineering in the University of Mumbai. What did you like specifically about the Energy Science course? I liked the multidisciplinary nature of the Energy Science Course. Also, the idea of applying the theoretical knowledge into research and projects makes studying here very practical and interesting. What are you doing now? I am currently working with the United Nations Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) in Berlin.
