Everyone's a winner at this year's sports day

"See you next year" – that was the common refrain from staff following the recent sports and fun day, which took place on campus at the end of June.
Over 120 staff turned out for this inaugural event, which saw them participate in six events including an egg and spoon race, three-legged race, human caterpillar, sack race, sprint race, culminating with the grand finale – the tug of war. Staff certainly showed their real competitive sides for this one!
Thankfully the rain didn’t make an appearance and all activities were performed on College Park where staff from Trinity Sport were tasked with the onerous job of making sure there was no cheating going on!
Following the final whistle, everyone adjourned to the Pav for refreshments where the COO, Geraldine Ruane, thanked everyone for coming and remarked on what a great example of team work the event was. Following this Geraldine and Director of Student Services Alison Oldam gave out prizes. That was topped off by a rapturous round of karaoke – what fine singers there are among you!
The event was designed to mark the end of another academic year and to thank staff from across CSD, ASD and FSD for all their efforts.
