Services staff prove to be great sports

‘Thank-you Thursday’ took place recently on College Park and, as the name suggests, it was a way for the Chief Operating Officer Geraldine Ruane (CSD), Chief Financial Officer Ian Matthews (FSD) and Vice-Provost Chris Morash (ASD) to say thanks to staff for their efforts during 2017-2018.
Games
The annual sports and fun day attracted attendees from all three divisions, who had a chance to pit their skills against each other in a three-legged race, pitch and putt, tin can alley and various other sports activities and games.
The highlight, though, for the second year in a row was the final event – the tug-of-war. Some of the losing team from last year were keen to make amends and sure enough, they were on the winning side this time around. Although the slightly unbalanced number of participants on each team might have had something to do with it!
Tradition
The COO Geraldine Ruane then presented prizes to the winning teams in the Pav which was followed by another Trinity tradition – karaoke. The overall winners were team four, comprising staff members from IT Services, FSD and Global.
Corporate Services (CSD) comprises 12 divisions but has one goal – to deliver quality services to support the Trinity community day in, day out. The COO used the occasion to remind staff that it’s their dedication that makes this possible.
