Corporate Services' Commercial success story
Published May 8th, 2019
Reduced third-level funding from Government in recent years has meant that Trinity had to find other ways to fund our ambition. Commercial Revenue, one of 12 functional areas within Corporate Services, was created five years ago to do just that.
Income generated by Commercial Revenue goes directly back to the university and in the last number of years this income has helped fund the 40 Ussher Assistant Professor roles, the recent Arts Block refurbishment and support for student sport – to name just a few projects.
Commercial Revenue’s success story was recently featured by the Irish Times in its business section and on its business podcast for which Chief Operating Officer Geraldine Ruane was interviewed by Ciaran Hancock.
