The Chief Operating Officer's team
The role of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is to provide strategic leadership, management and organisation of the university’s professional and support functions. Her key focus is on delivering a professional, agile and customer-centric division enabling Trinity to achieve its mission and vision in a cost-effective manner.
The Chief Operating Officer reports directly to the Provost and is an ex-officio member of the Board and Executive Officers Group. The COO has a team of four supporting her.
Orla Cunningham as Chief Operating Officer takes responsibility for the overall strategic leadership, management and organisation of the university’s professional service functions which include central services, student services and academic registry. Orla is an innovative senior executive with a track record of leading transformation in the private sector and creating high performing, profitable organisations. She is also a motivational leader who develops high-performance management teams.

Eimear Farrell is the Operations Manager for the Corporate Services Division, working closely with the COO and her Directors to deliver high quality services to staff and students.

Joanne Doyle is PA for the COO. She maintains the day-to-day operations of the office while working closely with the Finance Partner and HR Partner. Joanne supports the Corporate Services Division's strategic plan, management and organisation of the university's professional and support functions.

Brian O'Connor is the Finance Partner for the Chief Operating Officer. He provides financial support to all departments within the Corporate Services Division, encompassing their financial performance, budgets, forecasts and process improvements.
