Mental Health Management
Trinity plays an active role in supporting positive mental health in the university community. The university also provides support, guidance and treatment opportunity to students with mental health problems. A student experiencing symptoms of mental anguish may contact the Health Service or Student Counselling Services and request an appointment. In certain cases, a consultation with one of the College's attending psychiatrists may be recommended. Referral from either the College Health or Counselling Services is needed to access the on-campus psychiatry service.
Common Mental Illnesses among Students are: Anxiety, Panic, Depression and Eating Disorders. Hazardous Drinking also gives rise to considerable distress and fall-out.
