Research Fellow, Civil Struct & Env. Eng.

Dr. Ruhhee Tabbussum is a Research Fellow in the Department of Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering, Trinity College Dublin, working on an EPA-funded WFD Project. Before this, she was a National Post Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and worked on Climate Extremes and teleconnections. She has a doctorate in Water Resources engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar. She has previously worked on the development of flood prediction models based on Machine Learning Algorithms. She has developed flood forecasting modelling using Artificial Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, and Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference Systems. She is well versed in Quantum GIS and has acquired basic programming skills in Python, MATLAB and R. Her research interests include studies on Climate Change impacts, Climate extremes, modelling hydrological phenomena using Artificial Intelligence, etc. She has research publications in journals like Neural Computing (Springer), Journal of Flood Risk Management (Wiley), Environment Science and Pollution Research (Springer), and Natural Hazards (Springer). She is a peer reviewer for many international journals of publishing houses like Elsevier, Springer, Nature, MDPI, etc.
