Dr. Choudhari is working as a Research Fellow in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering. He is currently working on a TRACT (TRAnsport behaviour Change Trials) project funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and the Department of Transport, Ireland. In this project, he is collaboratively planning on conducting "behavioural change trials" to encourage private car commuters to shift to sustainable transport modes (such as car-sharing, bike-sharing, or public transport modes). He is gaining experience in trending research topics, such as understanding e-mobility uptake and modelling vehicular emissions. He has also expertise in Transportation Safety, Performance-based Highway Geometric Design, Accident Analysis, Human Factor, and Driver Behaviour studies. He also gained experience in handling big data from naturalistic driving studies and driving simulator-based studies. He completed his Doctoral and Master's degree in Transportation Systems Engineering specialization at the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India, and his under-graduation in Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering Pune (currently known as COEP Technological University), India. His research work is well appreciated in the Journal of Safety Research, Transportation Research Record, Traffic Injury Prevention, Transportation Letters, Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, and Transportation in Developing Economies. He is a recipient of best paper award in the 2nd Transportation Infrastructure Projects: Conception to Execution (TIPCE), hosted by IIT Roorkee, India. He is highly motivated to achieve safe, optimized, and sustainable transport for a better social cause.
