Biography
Rui Teixeira is an E3 Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin. His research interests involve the the resilience, reliability and risk assessment of critical infrastructure systems. He has large expertise in the fields of probability theory and has interest on the application computational methodologies and digitization to increase the resilience and risk tolerance of civil infrastructure. His expertise spans several key areas for this, such as, uncertainty quantification, system optimisation, and structural systems. He has authored multiple scientific paper in the most prestigious journals of his field, including Book Chapters, and several peer-reviewed conference publications. He is also a visiting Professor at University College Dublin. In the past Dr. Teixeira has served as director of the UCD's Centre for Critical Infrastructure Research (CCIR); and also held the prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie scholarship. He has also collaborated in several national and international research project and has also completed different roles in teaching; such as, module coordination, lecturing, or supervision of students.
