Biography
Assistant Professor Siobhán Corrigan is Director of the Masters in Managing Risk and System Change and Director of the Centre for Innovative Human Systems (CIHS), School of Psychology, Trinity College Dublin. Siobhán lectures in areas of Organisational Behaviour, Psychology of Work, Leadership, Human Factors & Research Methods and has published widely in her field. Her research focuses on understanding the functioning of socio-technical systems in order to support industry with the complexities of managing system change and improving overall risk and safety performance. Siobhán's current research interests include Collaborative Networks & Learning; Understanding Behaviour & Managing Risk in Transport Operations; Leadership & the Application of Human Factors in Healthcare Safety. She is PI on a number of industry/research collaborations and has played a leading role on high profile EU funded Human Factor research projects with continuous and successful engagement with a range of industries (e.g., Aviation, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Health & Process). Siobhán is a certified Human Factor trainer and has substantial experience in the development, delivery & evaluation of core Human Factors training. She is also an active member of a number of working groups both at EU and national level tasked with setting the future research agendas.

Psychology Reviewer & Advisor for DCU's OPEN/Connected Education Department. This department offers a range of online programmes targeting a diverse student population. My role was to review the Psychology curriculum, assessments and overall content. I was also responsible for advising the Psychology tutors in terms of their assessment feedback. I did this role for 10 years

This was an Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) initiative to establish Ireland as a brand of excellence in aviation training to further the advancement of the aviation education/training industry in Ireland.

Awards and Honours
TCD AHSSS Faculty Award for Excellence in Research Student Supervision. In February 2022, Council approved a new Award for Excellence in Supervision of Research Students, aligned with the strategic goals of continuous enhancement of teaching and learning, and standing up for research. The award aims to acknowledge the important role that supervisors play in the success of their postgraduate students and rewards a culture of excellence in supervision in Trinity by recognising the significant contribution supervisors make to College"s teaching and research mission. The award also acknowledges the contribution of supervisors who support students in difficult situations.
Nominated and shortlisted (3/15) GradIreland Higher Education Awards: Best New Postgraduate Course. The MSc in Managing Risk and System Change course, which I am Course Director, was recognised for this honour. These awards highlight the significant contributions that postgraduate programmes make to the Irish graduate market.
