Maria Gallo is the author of The Alumni Way: Building Lifelong Value from Your University Investment (Policy Press, 2021). Maria completed her doctoral studies in higher education at the University of Sheffield, an MA in Public Sector Management from University College Dublin, and Honours BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto. Maria’s research interests focus on the ability for alumni relationships to build social innovation. She also founded the social enterprise KITE- Keep in Touch Education, promoting alumni potential to organisations and communities. Maria is also a postdoctoral research fellow at the Community Knowledge Initiative at the University of Galway. In 2021, she was appointed as the Expert Alumni Advisor for CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. Maria worked with a group of fellow researchers to bring the European Research Network on Philanthropy conference to Ireland in 2021.
