Sean Melly

Biography

Sean Melly has 30 years experience in the banking and finance industries, and is Managing Director of Powerscourt Capital, a private investment company specialising in the Venture Capital & Private Equity sectors.  Following a primary degree in Business from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters Degree in Finance from UCD, he spent 10 years in banking in London & New York working for Citi & the investment vehicles of both the Belzberg family and Dermot Desmond.  Following this he became a entrepreneur establishing Telecom businesses in the US, Ireland and Eastern Europe.  

In his current role as MD of Powerscourt Sean has invested in, and is non-executive director of a range of start-up high-growth businesses.  He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of Trinity Business School and adjunct Professor at Trinity Business School teaching Corporate Finance on the MBA Program for the past eight years.
