Biography

Max Darby is an AI Solution Architect in Musgrave. Aided by skills acquired in his former role as a Senior Data Scientist his primary focus is designing responsible, explainable, human-centric AI systems that enhance human & business performance. Additionally, he sits on a number of boards/ERGs that build future strategies relating to areas such as data & AI, future of work, & sustainability.

His academic research focuses on the philosophy of AI, and the practical application of philosophical concepts to progress the field of AI. He is currently focused on expanding the field of Explainable AI (XAI) using adapted frameworks from neuroscience, evolutionary biology, philosophy, & religion.

He is a frequent guest-speaker at industry events, academic lectures/colloquiums. He is also an adjunct-lecturer in UCC and TCD, in subject-areas relating to digital humanities, data, and AI
