Biography

Dave is a co-founder and Managing Director of AccountancySchool.ie and Chartered Grind School. Both colleges are at the forefront of preparing students to sit the professional accountancy exams in Ireland. AccountancySchool.ie is a platinum approved college by ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), this is the highest award given by the ACCA to colleges around the world, the school is also an accredited Advanced Learning Partner with CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and is the only CIMA recognised college in Ireland.

Chartered Grind School is the recognised leading private college in Ireland for assisting students to prepare to sit the exams of Chartered Accountants Ireland (ACA). Dave lecturers at all levels of Auditing and Financial Reporting.

Dave is currently a member of the ACCA Ireland committee and he is the Irish representative on the ACCA International Education Forum. He spent a number of years working in Industry and Practice before he moved into full time education. Dave has been lecturing since 1996 and he has earned an exceptional reputation with accountancy students for his diligence and commitment to assisting them in passing their exams. Dave is a Fellow of ACCA and is a graduate of University College Cork, holding an MSc in Accountancy.

He has taught many Professional Accountancy prize-winning students including a First in the World and has consistently high pass rates. He is regularly involved in delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events to qualified accountants.
