Chemical Ecology
Our research group is interested in exploring chemical-mediated interactions between plants and their environment, with a particular focus on how plants respond to herbivory. Plants and herbivores play a major role in shaping wild and agricultural systems. We use interdisciplinary techniques, spanning molecular biology, chemistry and behavioural ecology to identify new mechanisms underpinning these interactions.
Research Lead
As a researcher, I am motivated by the need to address the challenges of changing environments, ecosystem instability, and global food insecurity. My aims are to address these challenges by elucidating the mechanisms that drive biotic interactions, as well as their role in shaping the world as we see it, from individual plants to global processes.
