Following on from our email about upgrading to Blackboard Ultra, we are getting in touch to see if you would like to be a Semester 2 adopter of the upgraded learning management system (LMS) for Trinity. Trinity is upgrading to Blackboard Ultra with the aim of providing an engaging, next-generation teaching and learning experience for all students at Trinity.
Why become a Semester 2 adopter?
By signing up now, you will get early access to this new system and direct support and assistance. IT Services will provide you with training on the use of Ultra and will assist with the module migration process for your Semester 2 modules. This will enable you to familiarise yourself with the enhanced features and functionality as soon as possible.
We have already worked with a group of early adopters who are using Blackboard Ultra in their Semester 1 course this year. They would be happy to talk to you regarding their experience and the benefits Blackboard Ultra has given them.
What's involved?
Semester 2 adopters will work with IT Services to migrate the modules they will be delivering in Semester 2 (January-April 2025). This will involve a relatively small time commitment in which you will:
- attend training (in person and/or online). The training will take approximately 2 hours. This training is a prerequisite but will be given flexibly to suit your working schedule.
- familiarise yourself with support/toolkit materials.
- take part in advanced training (if you require/wish) and have assistance in migrating your course content.
- provide feedback on the training, module migration, and support materials to help us improve these for other colleagues ahead of their modules migrating.
Please use this form to indicate your interest in being a Semester 2 adopter. More information about the project can be found on the TCD Blackboard Ultra Upgrade website.
We really appreciate your consideration, which we hope will make improvements for your course and the learning experience of your students. We look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
