We recently launched a staff training programme to support the upgrade from Blackboard Original to Blackboard Ultra for all Blackboard users in Trinity.
All Blackboard users should complete the training as soon as they can before the end of this academic year. Most Schools are at roughly 20% completion, suggesting that many colleagues have yet to start this process.
A choice of self-paced, in-person and online training options are currently available. Blackboard users can sign up for any combination of training options that suit them.
All modules taught in the academic year 2025/26 will be hosted on Blackboard Ultra from the beginning of that academic year. To ensure a smooth transition to the new system, please follow the steps below.
3. Prepare your Modules for Academic Year 2025/26
Training should be completed before the end of this academic year to ensure modules can be migrated to the new system in time for the next academic year. Further support on the migration will only be available to those who have completed the training outlined above.
All the details on completing the move to Blackboard Ultra are here. Staff can sign up for training here and further information is available on the Blackboard Ultra Upgrade website.
If you have any queries, please contact blackboard.ultra@tcd.ie.
