Full Professorial Chairs

Research leadership is critical to the global success and impact of the university. Full Professorial Chairs are essential to build emerging areas of strategic significance and to add research depth and scale in areas of existing strength. Whether they are forging new fields of research and teaching or deepening the expertise in specific fields, Chair holders make a considerable contribution to the university. Recently, philanthropy has enabled Trinity to establish the CRH Chair of Climate Science and the Sam Lam Professor in Chinese Studies.

Assistant Professorships

Assistant Professors play a vital part in delivering the distinctive Trinity educational experience and contributing to research excellence. Philanthropically funded posts include the Kinsella Assistant Professor in Automation AI, the Martin Naughton Assistant Professor in Environmental Microbiology and the E3 Assistant Professor in Data Science.
