Students from both the Ireland and the UK will be considered home students in each country.
Students from the UK and NI can apply and may be eligible for the EU free fees scheme (covering Tuition fees). More information can be found on our fees page here.
UK/NI students starting in 2024/25 will retain their EU fee status for the full duration of their course. Under the Common Travel Area (CTA), which predates Ireland and the UK’s accession to the European Union, the associated rights and privileges enjoyed by British and Irish citizens in Ireland and the United Kingdom continue to operate.
The Irish and UK governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding reaffirming their commitment to the Common Travel Area, which will remain in place continuously.
Irish citizens within the UK can live, travel, work, and study without obtaining a visa. Irish citizens residing within the UK enjoy associated rights and privileges including access to social benefits and healthcare.
