Learning outcomes play a key role in determining the teaching, learning and assessment strategies of a programme or module. They inform students of the knowledge and skills they will develop throughout the module, thus defining the learning expectations.
In this workshop you will: explore the role of learning outcomes in module design, with a focus on how they align with teaching and assessment approaches; use evidence-based taxonomies and models to assist you in the design of effective learning outcomes for your module.
This workshop is aimed at staff involved in teaching and/or supporting learning who are currently designing or redesigning a module that they teach or coordinate.
