Teaching and Supporting Learning for Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA) Non-Credit Module
Teaching and Supporting Learning for Graduate Teaching Assistants - Self-Study Version
We are pleased to advise that postgraduate students at doctoral level who are engaged in teaching can now access an online self-study version of module VP1017B Teaching and Supporting Learning for Graduate Teaching Assistants.
We have adapted the materials from the accredited version of the module to form a self-study resource available online in Blackboard at any time. The materials include support for session planning and design, mini video-lectures, readings, links to relevant external sites, and downloadable resources for future use. It is important to be aware that there are no scheduled tutorials or formal peer learning activities in this version, nor is there assessment for credit.
Separately, we are now working on revising the accredited taught version of this module: it has served hundreds of PGR/GTAs very effectively for some years, and is now due for some updating and further enhancement. We look forward to sharing details of the new accredited module later in 2025.
