Trinity College receives many requests for genealogical information; this page is intended to provide signposts to websites and other resources which may be useful to those seeking such information. (The College does not provide courses in genealogy or a general genealogical research service.)
For information on former students of the College, Alumni Dublinenses (eds. George D Burtchaell and Thomas U Sadleir, Dublin 1935) should be consulted for College students up to 1860. For later years, queries based on the information in the original admissions books and the published catalogues of graduates may be dealt with by the Library's Manuscripts Department which keeps the College muniments.
More thorough searching must be undertaken personally or by using a professional company such as Eneclann, a company staffed by graduates of the School of History.
