Research Interests
I am a PhD student in the Life in the Currents interdisciplinary project which is funded by a Trinity Prendergast Award. I am interested in how physical features and ocean currents shape marine ecosystemsand how this relationship will alter with climate change. My research is centred on plankton transport dynamics on a regional scale and will use ocean models to understand transport patterns. This work straddles the fields of zoology, mathematics and physics. More broadly my interests include mathematical biology, fluid mechanics and oceanography, and computational physics. I graduated from Theoretical Physics in TCD in 2023, where my final year project focussed on predicting the motion of migrant vessels in the Mediterranean.
