Biography

John teaches Russian language, area studies and cultural studies, as well as modules on the Russian press, and on translation.

Research

John is currently directing a documentary on a Russian daily newspaper. With his colleague, Sarah Smyth, he has recently published two Russian language textbooks. John is also a painter and his work can be viewed here.
