Equipment for Human Imaging

For human imaging, we have a Siemens PRISMA 3T MRI. A state-of-the-art scanner, it provides::

clearer images: improved SNR, as the signal is digitised close the participant's head
faster scanning and clearer images: stronger gradients (80 mT/m rather than 40 mT/m)
faster and more robust scanning: through simultaneous multi-slice functional MRI and diffusion MRI
quieter scanning: through force-compensated gradients to reduce vibration and noise

It is well specified, with 20, 32 and 64 channel adult head-coils and a 16 channel pediatric head coil. We also have body, spine and flex coils, and specialist coils for other parts of the body.
